I went to art school from the age of 13. Through the Junior, Intermediate and the Senior (graduate) departments of Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, London. After graduation went to UMIST (Manchester) for post graduate studies in Textile Technology. I then went to Canada worked as a textile designer, taught and painted , set up an art department in a community college, married and raised a family. After 20 years I brought my family to England where I did some more teaching in the Cambridge School of Art and then retired to paint full time.
I call myself a Jobbing Artist. I paint urban and rural landscapes for my own interest and as commissions. I also paint portraits and equestrian images on commission. I work primarily in oil on linen canvas but I also make pieces on paper. All my materials are museum archive quality. I also make limited edition prints, most of which are mezzotints.
