In 2012 I cycled from Hanoi to Singapore for charity. The vast plains of cambodia with their miniature-looking trees and invariably a storm brewing led to this series of paintings. They are acrylic, but done like watercolours, with very wet washes.
I paint light. Light is all there is. I try not to care whether it is falling on a person, a car park or a duck (though of course I do care). When a blob of paint is the light falling on somebody's nose, but is still very much a blob of paint, I am happy
