About This Piece
I entitled this piece - Fracture, which is my take on how mass-media has influenced the political and socio-economic landscape the world over. It has left mankind with a twisted sense of purpose and a fractured sense of identity with regards to being able to discern the truth, from the lies we are told on a daily basis. The original piece was created using black india ink on mixed media paper for a group exhibition called CORE.
I have a love affair working in monotone using black india ink. The themes of my work include political statements and social commentary, as well as random, subconsious illustration work. I am inspired to carry and element of truth as a message to the viewer of my artwork. Street art and graffiti is another passion of mine and the roots of my journey as an artist was inspired by my love for comic books as a child. Underground Hip Hop is the sound track to my life.
