Finished the Staffie, she is taken from Betty, a perfect model who came for several studio sittings and behaved impeccably. Cast at Bronze Age, patinated in my favourite pebbly black.

Bronze Polar Bear finally patinating at the foundry, taking her to Ian at HMC for crating and shipping her off to Spain next. Nice big bear for very good client.

Emma Hill took my Hedgehog to the Multiplied art fair at Christies this month. This piece is a casting extravaganza, it took me 3 days to roll all the individual spines out of wax and attach them to the original bald plaster hedgehog, then the rubber mould was made at Bronze Age, but pouring a wax into it without bubbles proved impossible, so...

I’m discovering that, in the presence of trees here in Cornwall's Lanherne Vale, colour presents some unexpected ways to express the energy of springtime.
